Krabo’s adventure started in 2018 from a vision of Fontana R.D., a leading company in the field of Bolt Engineering. The envisioned product is an all-in solution, with electronics embedded into the bolt, for monitoring physical and mechanical properties.
Between 2020 and 2021 the team made a “proof of concept”. Then, the first working prototype: an M24 structural bolt able to join a network.
2023 is the year of pilot projects for exploring the customer’s needs.
The goal is to go to market with serial KRABO® system in 2024 and to have in 2026 a mass production covering all the potential applications.
